Location Terms

1. Purpose

These Terms describe how Harulook uses location information to provide local weather and outfit guidance.

2. Location-based features and fees

• Retrieve weather for your current latitude and longitude, reduced on your device to about 2 km.
• Recommend outfits and preparation items for local conditions.
• Check weather changes for reminders you enable.

Harulook does not charge a separate fee for location features. Your network provider may charge data fees.

3. Data used and retention

Your current coordinates are reduced on your device to about 2 km and sent over HTTPS through Harulook's Cloudflare proxy to WeatherAPI for weather retrieval. In Korea they are also converted to a Korea Meteorological Administration grid cell of about 5 km for its forecast API. Harulook does not store exact coordinates in its database or shared proxy cache. If you enable a location-based reminder, the last location needed for that reminder may be stored locally on your device until you disable the reminder, clear app data, or uninstall the app.

For Korean legal compliance, Harulook may retain a coordinate-free record showing that a location feature was used, including an anonymous identifier, time, purpose, acquisition method, and processing method, for six months before deletion.

If you turn on remote weather alerts (such as rain or snow alerts in Korea), Harulook stores that location's ~5 km weather grid cell with your push token on its server (Supabase) to check weather changes for that cell. This is deleted automatically 7 days after you turn the alerts off or after 30 days without an update, and immediately when you delete app data or your account.

4. International processing

Cloudflare, Inc. and WeatherAPI.com (Zoomash Ltd) process coordinates only as needed to route and answer a weather request. Supabase, Inc. stores the ~5 km grid cell for remote weather alerts only as described above. Processing occurs when you request weather or when an enabled reminder checks weather. Their processing is also governed by their service and privacy terms.

5. Your choices

• Grant, deny, or withdraw device location permission at any time.
• Use a manually selected location instead of current location.
• Disable location-based reminders and delete local app data.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of applicable records by contacting us.

Withdrawing permission stops current-location features but does not prevent you from choosing a location manually.

6. Accuracy and availability

Location and weather may be delayed, approximate, or unavailable because of device settings, network conditions, third-party services, or maintenance. Do not rely on Harulook as the only source for emergency or safety decisions.
